The Great One, who created all things of beauty, knew of course of the male and the female, and each with their own gifts, their own preciousness. However, this one that he was to create, was to be the best, the most unique, the one that would have greater insight, be more aware, and feel all that was in the world to feel, carrying the softest of hearts and the most tender of souls. The Great One knew that this was to be a very special creation |

The problem arose because he knew that this creation could not be of animal, as the spoken language would be needed for the precious one to teach others of the wisdom gleaned from all that would be seen, heard, and felt. For the same obvious reasons, it could not be one of the sky, as even though the animal and sky creatures could see and feel and hear, they would not be so equipped to teach the others the precious wonders of the heart and soul. With this infinite wisdom, the great one decided that the precious one should be a human. |
After much thought, however, the Great One came up with an even bigger problem. |

The Great One knew particularly well, What should he do? Each precious creation before had been so easy, so deliberate, so unique unto itself. |
After several days of trying, with all of the wisdom that the Great One held within him, he still could not decide which one would go forth bearing the gifts |
But then, in his infinite wisdom, he decided the best way to handle the dilemma |
With a great feeling of relief, he cupped his hands ... conjured up the image of the man and the women, and held them within his hands. He blessed them with the greatest vision, and the greatest of insights. He blessed them with the most tender of heart and soul, then blew them of the same breath out into the world. He knew that by separating the two in this way, that there would be much sadness and loss ... one for the other. He knew that their individual experiences would impact upon them ... affecting them differently, yet he knew they would always be as one of the heart and soul. |
Having this wisdom, he also knew that in the quiet of their heart and soul, |

So it was that he promised that one day, |
As the last of his breath died away, he whispered |
