This Desert Angel,
Who rode across the sand.
To look upon the sleeping face,
Of this gentle mortal man.

The horse he fell silent,
As she appeared by his side.
Light illuminating from her,
She dares not cross this divide.

Knowing she could only come.
There in his dream so real.
She is not of this world,
But for a wish she longs to feel.

Softly a wisp upon his cheek,
This dream lover does awaken.
Gazing upon her face,
By her beauty he is taken.

Spirits can only touch,
In a world all of their own.
She would love from a far,
Then simply be gone.

She asked the Great Spirit,
Give to me this one moment.
Let me hold in him in my arms,
I will make later my atonement.

Go Desert Angel,
Offer him your love.
Reach out and touch him,
Before you ride the sands above.

He looks up into her eyes,
She peers down into his face.
Tears seem to rain upon him,
They merge forth with such grace.

Take me with you,
Words slip from his heart.
But she is of the Spirit world,
Once more from him she departs.
