On April 19, 1775 The Revolutionary War began and in the eight years of bloody fighting many of our ancestors gave their lives, their homes, and sometimes even their families to the savage fighting to make this country free from England. They fought so that all men could be free but unknown to them the hardest war on the country would take place almost 100 years later when the country would be plunged into the struggle of the Civil War to keep the country together and make all men free.
